About Tornado TILT "n" cRANE
Tornado commenced work under the current owner in march 1988. Moving the company from a "car towing" operation to a plant and machinery operation was our focus for the next two years. We successfully integrated the larger trucks and phased out the towing of motor vehicles by 1990. The company has grown from a fleet of 5 trucks to a fleet of over 60 vehicles and still growing each year, as we move into markets where we feel the customer is not happy with their current lack of service. The old transport industry attitude of "we will get there when it suits us" is not the way we operate. Customer needs are responded to by our despatch staff, depending on the size of vehicle you require.
Our drivers are all experienced in their type of work and many have been with the company for several years. The driver satisfaction in what they do is evident in their length of service. This also gives you, the customer, reassurance that the same friendly faces appear regularly
The work is dispatched to the drivers by an automated despatch system ,Tow Manager. Our fleet is all late model reliable equipment utilising the latest technology. The vehicles are constantly monitored by Quiktrak(tm), a vehicle locating and tracking system. This gives us and you, the customer, constant and up to date information on where the equipment is at any time on its journey.
Tornado has become a good sized transport operation but still gives you access to people who are genuinely concerned with your transport needs and want to do the best job possible.

MISSION STATEMENT
At Tornado we are committed to supplying specialized transport services for tilt tray, low loader and truck mounted crane type vehicles. Our reputation for our knowledge and safe handling of the equipment and the ability to be on time and to supply these services for a fair and reasonable price will be a benchmark for our industry.
Drivers will be professional in their image, attitude and be helpful and reasonable to the client in all respects and also to be appreciated for their willingness to assist in every circumstance.
Our office staff will allocate pick up times as accurately as possible and allow drivers enough time to complete each task fully and completely. Clients will be requested for full and accurate detailed information on pickup, deliveries and details of equipment. Delays of greater than 15 minutes will be notified to the client where possible and bookings will not be taken when no possibility exists of deadlines being met. Jobs will be dispatched in every detail to drivers including map references to new locations.
The owners and directors of will maintain the vehicles in a roadworthy and safe conditions at all times and supply funds for ancillary equipment as the funds become available so that driver comfort may be maintained. New technology will be introduced where possible and driver input and ideas greatly appreciated and accepted when viable.
